As Investment Administration Manager, Deborah Walker assists in contract preparation and due diligence activities for Innovation Works.  Deborah has been an attorney since 1994, and her areas of strength and experience include a wide range of corporate and business matters and transactions.

Deborah’s experience with start-up technology companies includes her recent tenure as corporate counsel at CoManage Corporation (acquired by Syndesis Ltd.), an early-stage, software development company located in Wexford, Pennsylvania.  While at CoManage Deborah negotiated and prepared software licensing, confidentiality, services, consulting and distribution agreements, and was involved in a variety of legal matters typically addressed by small companies. 

Prior to her employment at CoManage, Deborah practiced law as an Associate Attorney in the Business and Finance section of Morgan, Lewis and Bockius, LLP.  Deborah started in the Los Angeles office of Morgan Lewis in 1997 and transferred to the firm’s Pittsburgh office in 1999.  While at Morgan Lewis, Deborah's experience included a wide range of corporate matters and transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, representing issuers and purchasers in private placements of equity, and negotiating a variety of commercial agreements.

Deborah is a graduate of Stanford University, where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree, with a dual major in political science and journalism.  In 1994, Deborah received her Juris Doctorate degree, cum laude, from the University of Michigan Law School.  Deborah is licensed to practice law in California (inactive status) and Pennsylvania.
