Human Resources Strategist

Kathy Mitchell draws upon over 30 years of extensive strategic and operational Human Resources experience to design and implement Innovation Works’ strategic suite of services to help portfolio companies reach their goals.  Kathy provides consulting services  in the areas of executive coaching, talent acquisition and development, compensation strategies and alternative rewards,  workforce planning, human resources business processes, performance management  and training.

Before joining Innovation Works, Kathy was Vice President Human Resources for McKesson Automation Group, a $300M, 1850 employee business within McKesson Corporation and a member of the corporation’s senior human resources leadership team.  Kathy joined McKesson with the rare opportunity to direct the human resources activities of start-up company - Automated Healthcare - as it grew exponentially through technology and human capital excellence and market dominance.

Prior to joining McKesson, Kathy worked at CBS Corporation and Westinghouse Electric Corporation for 20 years, where she developed a diverse human resources career in service, engineering, energy and manufacturing operations.  She held a consulting position as a trainer with The Continental Group, Inc. in Stamford, CT and worked two years as a sports writer/journalist. Kathy holds a degree in journalism from Lehigh University.
