Rachael DeMatteo

Senior Grant Accountant

As the Senior Grant Accountant for Innovation Works, Rachel DeMatteo ensures that the organization is following all funding agency policies and procedures in compliance with governmental regulations and institutional requirements.  Rachel also performs general accounting related specifically to grants and contracts.

Ms. DeMatteo began her career in public accounting in 2005 with Maher Duessel.  Rachel managed numerous accounts for non-profit clients in healthcare, education, and other institutions as well as government clients including municipalities, redevelopment authorities, parking authorities and other government agencies.  She also served in examination engagements for six counties in western PA and other public/private organizations throughout the region.  Rachel shared her extensive experience in accounting for non-profits and local governments as a speaker at Maher Duessel’s Non-Profit Update Conference in 2009 and 2010.

Rachel is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the
Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA).  She holds a B.S. in Accounting (Summa cum Laude) from the University of Pittsburgh.
