Lightfoot Inc. has automated the labor intensive and error prone manual task of case picking in distribution warehouses.  This new warehouse automation system is initially targeted at the Wine & Spirits industry (over $30 billion/year revenue).  The warehouse distribution sector is an industry where profit margins are tightly coupled to the logistical costs of moving product from the receiving dock to the shipping dock.  Lightfoot replaces picking labor (typically 55% of labor costs) and reduces replenishment labor (typically 25% of labor costs) while improving accuracy and efficiency in the case picking process.
