IW acts as liaison and facilitator, connecting investors with each other and with high-quality deals in the region. Our due diligence process is rigorous, resulting in a portfolio of companies that are high-opportunity, yet measured risk.
IW is often the first external investor in its portfolio companies with typical initial investments of $100,000, and the potential for additional re-investments over time. Since its inception, IW has invested an average of approximately $325,000 per company, with some companies receiving IW investments of more than $1 million. Investments are typically made in the form of convertible debt, and are generally associated with performance-based milestones.
Attracting Follow-on Funding
In the past eight years, IW has made investment commitments totaling over $37 million into 107 companies. Those companies have in turn attracted more than $440 million in follow-on capital from investors such as:, including investment from investors such as Kleiner Perkins, Sevin Rosen, Nokia, TVM, IDG Ventures, Columbia Capital, Adams Capital, DFJ and others.
