About the Publisher
Pittsburgh Ventures is a publication of Innovation Works, a state-sponsored investment fund focused on seed- and early-stage technology companies in Southwestern Pennsylvania. Since mid-1999, Innovation Works has provided risk capital and business services to more than fifty technology companies in the Pittsburgh region. Innovation Works' portfolio of companies reflects the region's rich history of research and engineering, with many spinouts from Carnegie-Mellon University, the University of Pittsburgh and the UPMC Health System.
