The Maker Movement Manifesto 2/13/13

Innovation Works is pleased to partner with the Pittsburgh Chapter of the Product Development Management Association in introducing TechShop’s CEO, Mark Hatch, an influential leader in the maker movement – a global drive to harness innovation and creativity by individuals.  TechShop is an exciting, collaborative facility based out of San Francisco that provides artists, hobbyists, engineers, "makers," students and entrepreneurs access to a wide range of machines, metal and wood shops, laser cutting and prototyping tools, and expert guidance in their use.  TechShop will be opening a Pittsburgh location soon in Bakery Square (East Liberty.)   Mr. Hatch will discuss in his presentation how access to these facilities can influence regional innovation.
