What makes you the best person for your role?
Prior to joining Gear, I led a Pittsburgh-based medical software company, MiJourney, through growth and eventual acquisition by Smith+Nephew as the company’s Director of Operations and Product. During the pandemic, I completed a Social Innovation Fellowship with 412 Food Rescue while earning my Master’s degree at Carnegie Mellon. From 2015-2017 I lived and worked in Zambia as a Peace Corps Volunteer.
What is your favorite thing about working with startups?
I love the fast-paced, innovative culture of startups, and I love my role at Gear because I enjoy helping people pursue their goals and create opportunities for themselves.
What do you love about living and working in Pittsburgh?
Pittsburgh has all the fun of a city- food, events, art, skyscrapers, niche neighborhoods, universities, etc.- but is small enough that it only takes a few minutes to travel from one end of town to the other.
Where can we find you outside of work?
Rock climbing, biking, eating.
