Robotics Entrepreneur in Residence

Dr. Parag Batavia serves as our Robotics Entrepreneur in Residence at the Robotics Factory.

Dr. Parag Batavia is a seasoned robotics entrepreneur and the founder of Neya Systems, a leader in off-road autonomy. Neya Systems was acquired by Applied Research Associates in 2017, and Parag remains a strategic advisor to Neya. Parag is now an adjunct professor in CMU’s Robotics Institute and teaches robotics entrepreneurship (“How to Start a Robotics Company” and “How to Run a Robotics Company”). Parag also serves on multiple non-profit boards.

Parag has a Ph.D. in Robotics from Carnegie Mellon and an MBA from Drexel University.
