Payroll Manager / Database Manager
Peggy McAdams is the Payroll Manager / Database Manager for Innovation Works, Inc. Peggy’s works with all departments in various projects but her primary responsibilities include Human Resource On-Boarding, HR Compliance, Benefits Administration, Payroll, Record Retention, Retirement Plan Account Management, Employee Time Management, as well as database administration. She also prepares compliance reports for funding source requirements in accordance with IW policies and procedures.
Peggy brings over 10 years of experience to the Innovation Works accounting team. Prior to working at IW, Peggy worked as a Senior Accountant at West Penn Allegheny Health System, Federated Investors, and in Mellon Bank’s Global Trust Department. Peggy has a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Clarion University.
Having worked at Innovation Works for over 10 years, I have accumulated a wealth of knowledge on all aspects of HR and accounting within our organization. I started part-time as an Accountant focusing on accounts payable, but quickly added on other responsibilities such as payroll and retirement management. After a few years, I added on-boarding, policy writing and compliance reporting. In 2016 I went full time and I have continued to add onto my responsibilities with financial reporting and database administration.
The database administration and financial compliance allows me the opportunity to engage with many of the CEOs in our portfolio. I find it incredibly rewarding to work with these folks and appreciate that I get to be a part of aiding these intelligent people towards success.
When I am not at the office, I am busy fundraising for a local women’s club. The funds raised go to diverse organizations and families in our community that need financial help. I also have two teenage children that keep me running to activities, and a puppy that I love dearly (but I am waiting for a dog training app to help me train my pup to not destroy everything in her sight while I am at work).
