Over the past few years, local research universities have put Pittsburgh on the map for AI and robotics start-up activity which has attracted the research offices of some of the most innovative companies including Google, Uber, Amazon, Facebook, Apple, Ford, Delphi, GE, Autodesk, Bosch, Tata, Target and investment from top-tier VCs from around the world.
