Pathways to Opportunity Intern Program
The Pathways to Opportunity Program connects Innovation Works portfolio companies with students to accomplish Innovation Works’ goal of promoting candidates with unique backgrounds in the technology community by awarding reimbursement funding to participating companies that provide paid internship opportunities to students who are:

• Candidates who have overcome or experienced significant hardships or barriers, such as disabilities
• Candidates who have dedicated time and energy to service of others, including through military service, community service, and helping to uplift those in need
• Candidates from unique backgrounds with a focus on business, technology, or engineering

Recognizing the broader benefits, this program is also available to early-stage technology companies in the region that have been operational for 20 years or less and employ fewer than 100 people.

Internships with Manufacturers

Manufacturing Intern Program
The MIP program connects manufacturers located in Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Fayette, Greene, Lawrence, Washington, or Westmoreland counties to students in colleges, universities, and technical schools.

Interns cannot be family members of anyone who works at the manufacturing company or the immediate family members of Innovation Works employees, consultants, board members, or an elected Pennsylvania official.
