Innovation Works Annual

Pittsburgh Capital Forum

The Pittsburgh Capital Forum brings together founders, investors, corporate leaders, and ecosystem partners to explore the data and trends driving startup investment across our region.

Hosted annually by Innovation Works in partnership with EY, the Forum centers around the release of the Pittsburgh Investment Landscape Report—a comprehensive look at capital flows, sector momentum, and the future of innovation in Southwestern Pennsylvania.

REGIONAL INVESTMENT LEADERSHIP

What is the Pittsburgh Capital Forum?

A data-driven conversation about capital support of entrepreneurship in the region

Each year, the Innovation Works Pittsburgh Capital Forum convenes leaders from across the innovation ecosystem to unpack what’s happening and what’s next for startup investment in our region.

At the center of the conversation is the annual Pittsburgh Investment Landscape Report, which analyzes:

  • Venture capital and early-stage investment activity
  • Emerging sector trends across robotics, life sciences, software, and more
  • The role of corporate, institutional, and public capital
  • Opportunities and challenges shaping the regional economy

The Forum transforms this data into a shared conversation—bringing together the people building, funding, and supporting Pittsburgh’s next generation of companies.

Why the conversation matters

Pittsburgh’s innovation economy is growing and understanding where it’s headed requires both data and dialogue.

The Capital Forum creates a space to:

  • Align around a shared understanding of the regional investment landscape
  • Highlight momentum across key sectors and technologies
  • Strengthen connections between founders, funders, and partners
  • Identify opportunities to accelerate growth across Southwestern Pennsylvania

The Pittsburgh Capital Forum is hosted annually in Pittsburgh and features:

  • A first look at the latest Investment Landscape Report

  • Insights from regional and national leaders

  • Opportunities to connect with peers across the ecosystem

While the event itself is invitation-based, the insights are meant to be shared broadly through the report and ongoing engagement.
